Position – Head of Logistics
Location: Noida (Corporate HQ)
CTC: ₹35–40 LPA
Grade: Deputy GM / Addl. GM
Reporting To: VP – SCM & Sourcing
Role Summary
An experienced logistics leader responsible for end-to-end transportation and warehousing operations across Road, Rail, and Sea. The role involves managing bulk movement of raw materials and finished goods, optimizing freight costs, handling seasonal peak dispatches, and ensuring strict safety and regulatory compliance—particularly for ethanol transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual transporter negotiations and optimize freight cost per ton.
- Manage rail/rake planning, indent placement, and minimize demurrage.
- Oversee movement of cane, sugar, molasses, bagasse, and ethanol.
- Ensure warehouse capacity planning, stock accuracy (<0.05% variance), and pilferage control.
- Supervise ethanol tanker fleet with full HazMat safety compliance.
- Manage regulatory documentation including Excise, PESO, and E-way bills.
- Coordinate export/import logistics and ensure error-free documentation.
Experience & Qualifications
- 15+ years of logistics experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role (DGM/GM/Head).
- Experience in heavy industries such as Sugar, Steel, Fertilizer, Building Materials, or Oil & Gas.
- Strong expertise in rail logistics is essential.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA in Operations/Logistics preferred.
